Richard’s Custom Water Systems

  1. Typical household water falls into four categories:

  2. City River Water

  3. City Well Water

  4. Private Well Water

  5. Nuisance Well Water

  6. Each type has its own characteristics and potential concerns, such as obvious taste, color, or odor. Sometimes there are more subtle characteristics, like silent chemicals suspended in the water or microorganisms.

  7. Though we’re not here to frighten you, there is quite a laundry list of potential contaminants being found in our water. There are over 100,000 man-made chemicals in use in the U.S. Only a few of these are regulated.

Aquathin’s patented multi-barrier process produces water free of ‘all known contaminants’ – eliminating salt, heavy metals, nitrates, chemicals, pesticides, radionuclides, PFC’s, disease-causing water borne micro-organisms and emerging pharmaceuticals.

Is your family drinking water that is legally safe, but not totally safe?

  1. Evidence continues to prove that we are getting more than we bargained for in the water we drink, cook, and wash with. More…

Upon moving into a newly remodeled house last winter we quickly realized that we would need a new water system - one built to handle the large amount of contaminants and heavy iron in our water.   After interviewing a number of water treatment companies, we believed Richard's Custom Water would best be able to meet our needs.  We made the right call.  We feel fortunate to have chosen Richard's services - they have not once let us down.   Richard and Woody, (Richard's right-hand man) together created and installed a one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art, high pressure RO water treatment system that has provided our entire home with crystal clear, clean water since the day it was first installed.

Richard and Woody have continued to provide us with superb maintenance service.  They promptly answer phone calls and texts themselves and are always polite and efficient during service calls.  We are so comfortable with Woody in our home that I simply leave a door open for him to enter the house while I am out.   Always happy to go above and beyond what most would already consider great customer care, Richard has even chatted with us at 10 p.m. - about one of our kid's homework assignments.

We have only good things to say about Richard's Custom Water and recommend them without reservation.

  1. Simple pitcher-type filters typically use carbon and ceramic to make tap water taste better. While common carbon filters are effective against organic contaminants such as pesticides, herbicides, and chemical solvents, they are ineffective against microorganisms and inorganic contaminants. They cannot remove salts, heavy metals, and only reduce a few of the pollutants in the spectrum of pesticides and industrial wastes.

  2. Adding a reverse osmosis (RO) filter can remove at least 70 percent of impurities by membrane separation.Yet while ordinary RO systems are somewhat effective against organic and inorganic contaminants, they fail to treat viral and bacterial microorganisms.

  3. A filtering process called reverse osmosis with deionization (RODI) combines the best of multiple purification systems and is capable of removing the inorganic and organic contaminants. This multi-barrier system integrates deionization to carbon and RO filtration to purge the microorganisms, lead, asbestos, nitrates, heavy metals, and volatile organic chemicals that each system, alone, fails to eradicate.

  4. “With purified drinking water using RODI...you can essentially eliminate bringing water- borne contaminants into the body, which can help the body thrive, not just survive,” says Dr. Brist.
